Ultimate Judo President Is Awarded 10th Dan

George Kerr, President of Ultimate Judo, was awarded his 10th Dan at Paris Grand Prix. George becomes one of only seven 10th Dans in the world and the only Scot to achieve Judo's highest Honour.

George has had a career few could rival.

As a player he was British Champion, European Champion, 3 x European Silver medallist and 2 x european Bronze Medalist.

As an Adminisrator, he is currently President of the British Judo Association, former Chairman of JudoScotland.

As a Coach, he started the famous Edinburgh Club, Scotlands most successful Judo Club, producing many stars over the years including Scotlands only World Champion, Graeme Randall MBE in 1999. He is the only Brit to Coach a double olympic Champion, Peter Seisenbacher in 1984 and 1988. A feight that has never been done since.

As a referee he refereed 2 olympic finals in 1972 and 1976. He has without a doubt earned his nickname as "Mr Judo."
