Over the years, our bond has grown from a shared love of Judo into something truly meaningful. We’ve supported one another through life’s highs and lows – including the challenges of the COVID pandemic – and watching the Sasaki family thrive in the United States now is both inspiring and emotional. Their success is well-deserved, and we’re proud to have walked part of that path with them.
The Judo seminar, held at the International School of Aberdeen, was filled with practical, high-level training delivered with heart and clarity. The focus this year was on real, applicable knowledge – the kind of insights that can instantly improve your Judo, no matter your level. Shinjiro and Rieko’s teaching was outstanding, as always, and the energy on the mat was incredible.
Participants left sharper, more confident, and deeply inspired. This was more than just another masterclass – it was a reminder of what makes Judo so powerful: community, learning, and shared respect.
We want to thank everyone who came along to be part of this weekend. You made it unforgettable.
Special thanks go to:
Fergus and Tracey for once again capturing the day so beautifully through your lens.
Yati, for hosting the now-legendary Ultimate Judo seminar feast – an experience that so many champions (and hungry judoka!) now look forward to.
The International School of Aberdeen, for your continued support over the past 15 years. Your partnership means everything to us.
This weekend also marked a personal milestone – 15 years of Judo in Aberdeen. Reflecting on the decision to move our family here, this masterclass was a beautiful confirmation that we made the right choice. Judo has built more than athletes here – it has built friendships, community, and something we are deeply proud to be part of.
Events like this remind us why we do what we do. Judo isn’t just a sport – it’s a way of life, a way to connect, grow, and support one another.
To Shinjiro, Rieko, and everyone who shared the mat with us – thank you. Until next time.
