Coach Gordon Completes Trauma Awareness Course to Better Support Our Members

Certificate of completion for the Trauma informed coach

We’re committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for everyone — both on and off the mats. We’re excited to share that Coach Gordon has recently completed a specialist course on trauma awareness for coaches!

The course provided deep insight into how trauma can show up in people’s lives, and how coaches can identify and sensitively support individuals who may be going through tough times. It covered a range of topics, from recognising emotional triggers to building trust and resilience within a team setting.

Coach Gordon shared:

"It was a really eye-opening experience. Every coach should have this kind of training. Understanding trauma better means we can offer the right kind of support to our members, helping them not just as athletes, but as people."

This knowledge strengthens our club’s ability to foster an even more compassionate, understanding community. Whether you're here to train hard, rebuild confidence, or simply find a place where you belong — we’ve got your back.

If you’d like to know more or have any questions, feel free to chat with Coach Gordon or one of our team members.
