Order of the Scottish Samurai awards 2022

Sunday 19th June 2022 saw Head Coach Gordon Mccathie and club President Dr George Kerr receive awards from the Order of the Scottish Samurai at a lavish ceremony in the home of Charles Lord Bruce, ancestor of King Robert the Bruce.

Friend, Judo legend, Icon and Hero

In 2014 we had the honour of hosting a masterclass with Judo legend Georgii Zantaraia. Born in Georgia, his family fled the war between Georgians and Abkhazians when he was 4 years old, taking up residence in Ukraine. He proudly competed under the Ukrainian flag winning World and European titles as well as becoming Ukrainian Olympian.

All classes are now back

2022 started with mixed emotions for us and the sport of Judo. Children were allowed to return but adults were put under restrictions stopping indoor contact sport from December 26th to mid-January.
