2014 Commonwealth Champion and 2016 Olympian, Nekoda put us through our paces by way of a Judo specific circuit. Working the muscle groups which we use the most in Judo, interspersed with Judo specific movements and techniques, this 30 minute work out worked up a sweat and challenged us all throughout.
The session saw Judoka from clubs across Scotland and dojos in Australia and Japan train alongside Nekoda, hosting for us from her home. A truly International session.
The question and answers at the end allowed participants to really see the passion Nekoda has for Judo. Answering querstions including how to handle nerves in big events and what Judo means to her, she left everyone inspired and even emotional.
I have said before but I will mention again, Judo is so much more than a sport. I can't think of any other sport who have the Worlds top athletes taking time out of their training to share the knowledge, experiences and philosophies to grass roots clubs.
Thank you Nekoda for your time and amazing content. We all feel inspired and ready for a safe return to hard training after lockdown eases.
