Adult Beginners Class teams up with George Kerr 9th Dan

In August, Ultimate Judo were lucky enough to get a master class from the legendary George Kerr where he went over one of the techniques that he used to devastating effect in tournaments worldwide, hiza gatame.

In July, our Adult practice moved to George Kerr's purpose built dojo in West Bowling Green Street, Leith.

George is the current President of the British Judo Association and a 9th Dan in Judo, making him one of the highest ranked judokas in the world. He is a former Olympic referee, British Captain and British Champion, European Champion and the coach of double Olympic champion, Peter Seisenbacher from Austria.

George has promised to come on again to show us some more of the techniques that make a champion. 

The low grade practice is open to everyone 1st Dan and below on a Tuesday night 7pm till 8.15pm. The emphasis of this class is on technique and fitness and is therefore suitable for all ages, sizes, physical ability and judo experience.
